Always in good company. Always Origin.

Mission

To focus on the good, create community, and make days brighter, one cup at a time.

Vision

To grow Origin into a home for exceptional, house-roasted specialty coffee up and down the coast — from Savannah to Hilton Head Island and beyond — expanding our roastery, our team, and our community impact, without ever losing the personal, connection-driven spirit we started with on a mobile cart in 2020.

Values

Our Story

What began as a mobile coffee cart run by two newlyweds with a dream has blossomed into something more meaningful than we ever imagined.

Origin Coffee Bar was born from a simple, heartfelt moment — when founders Elise and Matt couldn't find a coffee experience that felt personal enough for their wedding day. That search sparked the idea for a coffee bar that wasn't just about great drinks, but about connection, community, and care. So in 2020, they hit the streets of Savannah with a mobile bar, pouring lattes and building relationships one cup at a time.

Not long after, Origin found its first home in a shared space in Savannah. What started small quickly grew into something special — a team of passionate people and a loyal community that believed in what we were doing: serving exceptional, house-roasted specialty coffee and fresh, elevated brunch in a space designed to uplift and inspire.

In 2023, we opened the doors to our own beautiful space in downtown Savannah — a restored gem with a full kitchen and in-house roastery, allowing us to expand both our craft and our impact.

And now, the journey continues. We're opening our second location in Hilton Head Island, expanding our roastery, and growing our team — still grounded in the same mission that started it all: to focus on the good, create community, and make days brighter, one cup at a time.

Community Commitment

At Origin Coffee Bar, our mission goes beyond coffee.

We're committed to serving our community in tangible, meaningful ways. Through initiatives like providing meals to our homeless neighbors, hiring refugees in partnership with Inspiritus, and creating employment opportunities for individuals in addiction recovery through Recovery Place, we aim to be a place of dignity, healing, and hope. We also proudly collaborate with a range of local nonprofits to support those facing hardship, because we believe coffee can be a catalyst for real, lasting change.

We've partnered with: Recovery Place, Inspiritus, Savannah Fire Department, Tharros Place, The Dwelling Church, Renegade Paws Rescue, The Humane Society, Hope City Church, Old Savannah Mission, Goodwill, and many more.
