Employees are expected to maintain a high standard of professionalism and respect in all aspects of their job. This includes but is not limited to:
Communication
Always communicate respectfully with customers, coworkers, and management. Use courteous and clear language both in person and through electronic communications (e.g., email, Slack). Be active, engaged, and responsive with team communications.
Customer Service
Strive to provide excellent customer service at all times. Employees should be friendly, approachable, and attentive to customers' needs, creating a positive and welcoming environment. Our goal is to make their day whatever it takes.
Cleanliness and Organization
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including your assigned workspace, food preparation areas, customer-facing spaces, and bathrooms. Cleanliness and organization are critical to the safety and success of the business.
Teamwork
Collaborate effectively with other team members and support a positive, cooperative work environment. Be willing to assist others as needed and encourage a collaborative spirit.
Respect
Treat all employees, customers, and vendors with dignity and respect. Disrespectful, discriminatory, or harassing behavior is not tolerated and may lead to disciplinary action.
At Origin Coffee Bar, we believe that a professional appearance contributes to a positive and welcoming environment for both our employees and customers. All employees are expected to adhere to the following dress code guidelines while on duty:
Our company's official dress code is Smart Casual. Black tops that cover mid-drift, neutral pants (black, beige, or denim) with closed toe shoes. Tops should be free of any graphics or designs apart from Origin official designs or merchandise. However, an employee's position may also inform how they should dress. If you frequently meet with clients or prospects, please conform to a more formal dress code. We expect you to be clean when coming to work and avoid wearing clothes that are unprofessional (e.g. workout clothes, sweatpants, etc.)
As long as you conform with our guidelines above, we don't have specific expectations about what types of clothes or accessories you should wear.
